Only the return of warmer weather at the start of September imbued the vintage with a freshness of great Chardonnay in tune with the subtly restrained power of Pinot Noir and a soupçon of rounded Meunier – that final little touch making the wine more pleasurable to drink soon
it would be unfortunate to leave so much upside potential unrealized and thus I would advise waiting for at least 5 more years first though it should easily be capable of rewarding 8 to 10
Follin Arbelet, Corton Bressandes Vintage:2018 earth and black cherry(from 45 to 50 year old vines). Heavy reduction completely flattens the underlying fruit. Like several wines in the range the medium bodied flavors possess good detail and an appealing vibrancy with good muscle, size and weight and while the finish is dusty and serious its not especially austere though note that this will definitely require at least a minimum of patience.
